GSP obtained a unanimous approval at the Council’s planning committee meeting for the redevelopment of part of an allocated employment site surrounded by residential properties to include the erection of 4 commercial units. Officers and members recognised that the proposal presented an opportunity to increase the amount of commercial floorspace, place restrictive conditions on the new buildings and improve the quality of this part of the employment site, all without detriment to adjoining residential occupiers.
